Spajić attends Business Forum in Osaka: Now is the right time to invest in Montenegro

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić opened the Business Forum in Osaka, organized by the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). The event gathered representatives of over 50 Japanese companies.
In his address, Prime Minister Spajić emphasized the vast potential for cooperation between Montenegrin and Japanese businesses, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, energy, logistics, tourism, and information technology.
Over the next ten years, Montenegro will make significant investments in infrastructure development, especially in road construction through highways and expressways, as well as in railway modernization, new train procurement, and upgrading the Port of Bar, said Spajić. He invited Japanese companies to explore these opportunities, noting that now is the ideal time to invest in Montenegro.
The Prime Minister highlighted that recent reforms have enhanced the competitiveness of Montenegro's economy, while upcoming projects in infrastructure, energy, tourism, environmental protection, and high technology are expected to provide strong momentum for further growth.
Addressing the Japanese business community, Prime Minister Spajić underlined that Montenegro is a secure investment destination offering a stable business environment and a highly favorable tax policy.
With EU membership, Montenegro will become part of the single European market, significantly boosting the appeal of our economic space and serving as a driver of dynamic growth and development, he added.
In addition to the Prime Minister, the forum featured remarks by President of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro Nina Drakić and JETRO Director General Hideki Sho.
Montenegro’s investment opportunities were presented by Snežana Đurović, Director of the Investment Agency.
The event concluded with a performance by world-renowned guitarist Miloš Karadaglić.
