Spajić, McKen: One of the world’s leading airlines, British Airways, launching its first route to Montenegro

During last night’s meeting between Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and the UK Ambassador to Montenegro Dawn McKen, it was confirmed that one of the world’s most prominent airlines, British Airways, is launching its first-ever route to Montenegro.
The new London Heathrow – Tivat service will operate from 14 May to 26 September, three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
With the introduction of this route, Tivat will, for the first time, be connected with Heathrow – one of the busiest airports in the world – in addition to its existing connections with London Stansted, Luton, and Gatwick. Heathrow is the busiest airport in Europe by passenger volume and offers connections to as many as 230 destinations, including numerous intercontinental routes.
The arrival of British Airways represents a major step forward for Montenegro, not only in terms of air connectivity but also economically. As one of the most reputable global airline brands, known for its high-spending and international clientele, British Airways is sending a clear signal about the attractiveness of the Montenegrin market and the strong potential for further development of tourism and business.
