Statement by Deputy Prime Minister Aleksa Bečić

At a time when we should be celebrating the New Year and Christmas holidays, our nation has once again been shaken to its core by a great tragedy in Cetinje.

The fact that the suspect, according to the information we have so far, took the lives of even some of his closest relatives and two minors speaks to the extent of the monstrosity and the darkness of his mind.

Healthcare workers at the Clinical Center of Montenegro are making tremendous efforts, and police officers, with all available resources, are doing their utmost to apprehend the suspect responsible for these heinous murders.

Montenegro is mourning and suffering.

My deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and my prayers go out to the injured citizens of Cetinje.
