The 41st Cabinet session – 15 February 2023

The Montenegrin Cabinet, at today's 41st session chaired by Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, adopted the Draft Law on the Ratification of the Agreement between Montenegro and the Republic of Macedonia on the Regulation of Mutual Property And Legal Relations.

The Cabinet adopted the Information regarding the status of persons from Ukraine in Montenegro and the Decision on amendments to the Decision on granting temporary protection to persons from Ukraine. In accordance with the Law on International and Temporary Protection of Foreigners, which stipulates that temporary protection may be extended for another year, the Decision on amendments to the Decision on granting temporary protection to persons from Ukraine was adopted, which envisages the extension of temporary protection for another year, i.e. until 11 March 2024.

The Cabinet adopted the Decision on imposing international restrictive measures adopted by the Decisions of the Council of the European Union in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. In order to comply with the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the EU, the Cabinet adopted the Decision on imposing international restrictive measures against persons and entities from Belarus, in accordance with the decisions of the Council of the European Union in view of the involvement of Belarus in the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

The Cabinet adopted the Information on the subscription and payment of additional share capital of Montenegro in the International Finance Corporation (IFC) through a general capital increase and accepted the Instrument of Subscription by which the Government commits to register shares in the amount of 2,239,000 US dollars.

The Quarterly Report on the achieved results in the fight against illegal exploitation of gravel and sand from watercourses was adopted.

The Cabinet adopted the Information on the implementation of projects financed from funds provided under the Framework Agreement "Water supply and wastewater in Montenegro" and the accompanying financial contracts B, C, D and E, with the European Investment Bank, intended for the wastewater collection and treatment and improvement of the water supply system.
