The 59th Cabinet session – 17 February 2022

The Montenegrin Cabinet, at its 59th session held on 17 February 2022, chaired by Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić, adopted a Decree amending the Decree on the implementation and procedure of using funds from the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance of the European Union (IPARD II programme). Amendments to the Decree have been made in order to enable the smooth implementation of the IPARD II programme, which will contribute to better spending of grants intended for Montenegro. The adopted amendments specify the conditions that must be met by users engaged in the processing of fruits, vegetables and field crops in order to receive support through the IPARD programme.

The Cabinet adopted the Decision on the Establishment of the Working Group for the Preparation and Conduct of Negotiations on the Accession of Montenegro to the European Union in the Field of the Acquis Communautaire of the European Union, which refers to the negotiation chapter 29 - Customs union.

The Cabinet adopted the Information on the implementation of the project of the Employment Agency of Montenegro "Posao za vas" (Job for you). The project is a programme of credit support to agricultural producers in Montenegro, who have decided to engage in primary production or processing, and is implemented continuously from 2008. During that period, 577 business plans have been implemented, which employed 668 people and the total amount of credit support amounted to 3,306,500 euros.

The Cabinet approved the Plan for the use of funds of the Public Enterprise for Coastal Zone Management of Montenegro for 2022. The planned revenues, i.e. expenditures of this Public Enterprise amount to EUR 8,339,000.

The Cabinet adopted the Programme for construction, maintenance, reconstruction and modernization of railway infrastructure for 2022. The proposed Programme covers current and investment maintenance of public railway infrastructure, in the total amount of EUR 19,412,890.48 (EUR 6,500,000.00 is intended for current maintenance, and EUR 12,912,890.48 is envisaged for investment maintenance).

The Cabinet adopted three support programmes for 2022 - the Programme for Improving the Competitiveness of the Economy, the Programme for the Development of the Process Manufacturing and the Programme for the Development and Promotion of Crafts in the total amount of EUR 5,200,000.00.
