The rule of law is a prerequisite for media freedom

We welcome the acquittal passed by the judicial panel of the Appellate Court in Podgorica, in the case of journalist Jovo Martinović, a longtime associate of several influential foreign media, including: The Economist, Newsday and The Financial Times.

The rule of law is a prerequisite for media freedom and as such a guarantor of the strengthening of democratic and civil society.

All branches of government are therefore obliged to contribute to the environment of preserving and strengthening the legal order as the foundation of overall social development that protects the rights and encourages the development of every individual and business.
