Zogović meets with Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Montenegro Barış Kalkavan

Deputy Prime Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Milun Zogović met with H.E. Barış Kalkavan, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Montenegro, on the occasion of his farewell visit.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Ambassador discussed a wide range of topics concerning relations between Montenegro and the Republic of Türkiye, highlighting the significant results achieved during Ambassador Kalkavan’s mandate.

The discussion also touched upon future priorities, including the development of transport and utility infrastructure, the energy transition, increased investment in renewable energy sources, and stronger support for the development of Montenegro’s northern and less developed regions.

The officials agreed that Montenegro and Türkiye are friendly countries that maintain relations based on mutual respect and understanding.

Deputy Prime Minister Zogović thanked Ambassador Barış Kalkavan for his contribution to strengthening the partnership between the two countries and expressed Montenegro’s readiness to continue and further enhance cooperation with the Republic of Türkiye in areas of mutual interest.
