Diplomatic relations
Republic of Iraq officially recognized Montenegro on August 23rd 2006 and diplomatic relations were established on December 29th 2010.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Montenegro, on a non-resident basis based in Belgrade, Fakhri Hasan Mahdi Al Isa, took office on July 1st 2019.
Economic cooperation
There are no records on trade in the last three years, while in 2018 the total trade was realized in the amount of € 3,964,000 (of which imports amounted to € 3,050,000 and exports to € 914,000).
In previous years, no direct investment from Iraq was recorded.
