Visas

Montenegrin citizens are allowed entrance and stay in Tunisian territory without previously having acquired a visa. Visa regime issues is (as well as other consular affairs with regard to Montenegrin citizens - as the citizens of the receiving state) under the jurisdiction of the Embassy of Tunisia in Belgrade.

Bilateral Relations/Diplomatic Relations Overview

Relations between Montenegro and the Republic of Tunisia are considered to be friendly. Both sides work in continuity - towards the advancement of cooperation in all mutually beneficial areas.

The Republic of Tunisia officially recognized Montenegro on the 20th of June 2006, and the diplomatic relations were established on the 7th of May 2007 (by exchanging notes). Ambassador of Tunisia to Montenegro Seyf Allah Rejeb, took his office on the 29th of March 2018. His predecessor, Mohamed Bougamra, held this post from 2016, until 2018.

No official high-level bilateral meetings have occured in the previous period, although, on several occasions, Tunisian side expressed its' readiness for their realization.

Economic Cooperation / International Trade

Economic cooperation between our two countries is mainly reduced to international trade, while the substantial forms of cooperation haven't been recorded so far.

Overall exchange of goods and services in 2021 (January – October) amounted to €549,390 (out of which the exports were €862, and the imports were €548,528); overall exchange of goods and services in 2020 amounted to €689,510 (out of which the exports were €0, and the imports were €689,510).
