Diplomatic Relations

Relations between Montenegro and Vietnam are traditionally good and friendly.

The Socialist Republic of Vietnam officially recognized Montenegro on June 28, 2006. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on August 4, 2010.

On May 13, 2019, the non-resident Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Montenegro, stationed in Bucharest, Dang Trang Fong, presented credentials to the President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović.

No high-level and the highest-level visits have taken place so far.

Economic Cooperation / International Trade

The total trade between Montenegro and Vietnam in 2021 amounted to 18.2 mil. euros, of which 239.8 thousand. euros related to exports.

According to Monstat, no arrivals of tourists from Vietnam were recorded.

According to the Central Bank of Montenegro, no investments from Vietnam were recorded.
