VISA REGIME
Nationals of Monaco may enter, pass through the territory of and stay in Montenegro up to 90 days, with a valid travel document, without a visa.
Nationals of Monaco may enter, pass through the territory of and stay in Montenegro up to 30 days, without a visa, with a valid identity card issued by the competent authority of Monaco.
Diplomatic relations
On October 17, 2007, the Principality of Monaco recognized Montenegro, and at the same time diplomatic relations between the two countries were established. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Montenegro to the Principality of Monaco on a non-resident level, is Mr. Ivan Ivanišević based in Paris.
Official visits
Prime Minister of Montenegro Mr. Duško Marković paid an official visit to the Principality of Monaco on March 9th 2017.
President of Montenegro Mr. Filip Vujanović paid an official visit to Monaco on May 6, 2014.
Prime Minister Mr. Milo Đukanović paid a working visit to the Principality of Monaco, from 12th-13th March 2014.
Prince Albert II of Monaco was on an official visit to Montenegro, from 19th-21st June 2013.
The President of the Assembly Mr. Ranko Krivokapić paid an official visit to the Principality of Monaco, from 4th-5th August 2011.
Economic indicators
Data on trade between Montenegro and Monaco in the period 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017 and 2016 are not recorded. In 2015, trade amounted to EUR 11,515 and related only to imports; In 2014. around 21 000 euros and also referred to imports.
In 2020, 0.8 million euros were invested from Monaco. In 2019, investments from Monaco amounted to about 2 million euros. They were 2.4 million euros in 2018, while in 2017 they were 5.8; 2016 - 4.5; 2015 - 2 million euros.
