Visa regime

Nationals of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland may enter, pass through the territory of and stay in Montenegro up to 90 days, with a valid travel document, without a visa.

Throughout Montenegrin history, the United Kingdom has had its own special place and role. London was among the first to support Montenegro's democratic turn and European course twenty years ago. The role of the United Kingdom came to the fore especially after the restoration of Montenegrin statehood and the re-establishment of diplomatic relations. The UK, as one of the leading countries in Europe and the world, has strongly supported Montenegro in its NATO accession process. At that time, the British Know-how Fund and the British Council played a particularly important role, as did the British Government with its determined, comprehensive support. It is important for us that London, even after Brexit, continues to support both bilaterally and multilaterally the European path of Montenegro, but also other countries of the Western Balkans.

Diplomatic relations
