Visa regime

Nationals of Vietnam are required to obtain a visa to enter Montenegro.

Visas may be obtained from diplomatic and consular posts of Montenegro. If you are unable to reach a diplomatic or consular post of Montenegro, you may apply for a visa at the nearest diplomatic or consular post of the Republic of Serbia.

Diplomatic Relations

Relations between Montenegro and Vietnam are traditionally good and friendly.

The Socialist Republic of Vietnam officially recognized Montenegro on June 28, 2006. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on August 4, 2010.

On May 13, 2019, the non-resident Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Montenegro, stationed in Bucharest, Dang Trang Fong, presented credentials to the President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović.

Political Contacts

No high-level and the highest-level visits have taken place so far.

Economic Cooperation / International Trade

Foreign trade between Montenegro and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 2020 amounted to 658.6 thousand. € (export not recorded). Foreign direct investments were not recorded during 2020.

According to "Monstat", the arrival of tourists from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 2020 was not recorded.
