The Republic of Slovenia is an important partner of Montenegro and provider of development assistance.

Relying on the shared history, the proximity of the two peoples and the fact that there are no open issues in bilateral relations, strengthening and deepening the overall cooperation with Slovenia is a permanent commitment of Montenegro.

In addition to strong political support for our European integration, Slovenia's expert assistance in the negotiation process with the Union is significant, as well as the assistance it provided during its four-year mandate (January 1, 2011 - end of 2014) as a NATO contact for Montenegro.
