The batch of 100,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine arrived in Montenegro today. The shipment was received by Minister of Health Jelena Borovinić Bojović, Director General of the Directorate for Digital Health Aleksandar Sekulić and Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Montenegro Songül Ozan.

Minister Borovinić Bojović thanked for the valuable donation agreed during the recent official visit of the Montenegrin delegation to Turkey.

The Minister said that this donation is the result of traditionally good and friendly relations between the two countries. She called on all citizens to get vaccinated as soon as possible and in that way help in overcoming the existing crisis, saving their own lives and the lives of their loved ones. The Minister of Health emphasised that vaccination and protective measures are the only safe way out of the existing crisis.

Ambassador Ozan said that Turkey sees Montenegro as a friend and an ally, and that the two countries have really had good cooperation since the beginning of the pandemic.

We believe that we will win the pandemic battle only if we cooperate together, if we show solidarity, if we help each other, the Ambassador said.
