PM Marković: Infrastructure improvement will lead to valorization of potentials of Žabljak



Following his meeting with the leadership of the Municipality of Žabljak, Prime Minister Duško Marković gave press statement. He said that the priority is further development of Žabljak, the development of the Savin Kuk ski resort, the development of road and total infrastructure throughout the territory of Žabljak, the improvement of the offer of the National Park and the creation of new jobs.
PM Marković said that they discussed topics related to the development of Žabljak and valorization of potentials of Žabljak, which aim to improve the overall offer, contribute to the new quality in Žabljak and of course stimulate the development of Montenegrin economy as a whole.
When asked to comment on CEMI's research on public trust in the judicial system of Montenegro, where a lot of bad assessments were found, among which dominate the influence of politics on the work of the courts and the lack of valid verdicts for the so-called high corruption, the Prime Minister said that he was not familiar with the survey, adding that citizens' confidence in the judiciary is growing. He said that citizens are not satisfied with the politicization of the judiciary, i.e. the influence of the politics on the judiciary, noting that citizens have right, because everything the opposition was doing all this time when it comes to the prosecution and the judiciary is not only undemocratic, not only it does not comply with legal standards, but it is below every civic, political and democratic level.
Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Financial System and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović expressed satisfaction with the results achieved last year and expressed his determination to continue this year with the implementation of numerous development projects in this Municipality.
The Deputy Prime Minister announced that concrete projects were defined, as well as the funds for their implementation, and that there are funds for the development of entrepreneurship in numerous institutions, especially in the Investment Development Fund and the relevant ministries, expressing the belief that, as a result of joint action and commitment, in this year new jobs, the growth of the local economy and the development of Žabljak should be expected, which will contribute to the growth of the economy at the state level.


Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism Pavle Radulović emphasised that a tender for the six-seat cableway was planned and about 5 km of ski tracks worth EUR nine million were projected in order to further improve the tourist offer of Žabljak and the Savin Kuk ski resort.
President of the Municipality of Žabljak Veselin Vukićević said that today's meeting was extremely useful and constructive, and that sustainable solutions were found when it comes to financial construction for all the projects that have been launched and the problems that arise in their implementation.
