PM Marković visits construction sites of Đalovića Cave tourist complex: works are going according to plan, new tourist complex will make this area world-famous

Prime Minister Duško Marković told the citizens of the Bijelo Polje region during a visit to the construction sites of the future Đalovića Cave tourist complex that the project worth more than EUR 19 million will make this part of Montenegro world-famous and create new opportunities for employment and development.
"We are starting only one in a series of projects related to the valorisation of the Đalovića Cave, a state project worth more than EUR 19 million," said the Prime Minister at the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the bridge over the Bistrica River.
The Prime Minister reminded that the reconstruction of the road Bistrica – Gubavač, 9 km long and worth EUR 5 million, is underway and that works have been agreed on the construction of a visitor centre with accompanying projects that include regulation of the Bistrica riverbed.
"At the same time, we have contracted the works on the arrangement of the Đalovića Cave, worth about EUR 4.5 million. It is going great and within the deadlines we planned to install the cable car from the Podvrh Monastery to the Đalovića Cave, the final works on the road Bistrica – Podvrh Monastery are being finished, we expect asphalting soon. On 15 May 2018, we said that we would start and finish these projects. Today, I am pleased to confirm that we have fulfilled what we promised. … People will come to Bistrica to visit the Đalovića Cave. It is an opportunity for everyone, for every family and for the agile leadership of the municipality to encourage other activities, for young people to get a job and stay here, not to leave Bijelo Polje and Montenegro. This Government, as you can see, is committed to the development of the Northern region, not only with proclamations and papers, but also with concrete activities," said Prime Minister Duško Marković.
The oldest resident of Bistrica, a 93-year-old retired teacher, Milisav Đurović, thanked the Prime Minister on behalf of the locals, saying that Bistrica had become a large construction site, that almost 100 citizens of Bistrica were already employed on the construction sites of the Đalovića Cave tourist complex and that the opening of the complex will open new development opportunities.
President of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje Petar Smolović thanked the Government for its commitment to the development of the Northern region.
"Governments have always helped, we have always had the support of the state, but, honestly, never like in these four years. The strategic commitment of the Government has been shown and we are already seeing results" – said the President of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje.
