Construction of kindergarten in Guke, worth EUR one million begins

The construction of a new kindergarten in the settlement of Guke, worth about EUR one million, with a capacity for 70 children, officially began in Pljevlja earlier today. The 500-square-meter kindergarten is financed by the Government of Montenegro, through a credit arrangement with the Council of Europe Development Bank. 

The cornerstone for the construction of the kindergarten, which will also include the equipping, was laid by Director of the Public Works Administration Rešad Nuhodžić and Mayor of the Municipality of Pljevlja Igor Golubović, and the deadline for the completion of works is 12 months.

Director of the Public Works Administration Rešad Nuhodžić, expressed his satisfaction that the kindergarten facility in Guka was recognised as a significant capital project and financed by the Government of Montenegro.

"The implementation of the project will create better conditions for the stay of children, provide new jobs and provide better working conditions for employees. The Public Works Administration conducted the public procurement procedure and reached the responsible contractor – Pljevlja - based company "Tehnogradnja" and today I can say that in a year, this facility will be open for about 70 children," said Nuhodžić and reminded that seven kindergartens in a total value of around EUR 13 million were built in the past period in Montenegro, thanks to the cooperation and arrangement of the Government of Montenegro and the Council of Europe Development Bank, as well as contracts for the construction of three more kindergartens with a total value of EUR 4.5 million, while the preparations of technical documentation for the construction of other facilities of this purpose in Montenegro, are underway.
