30,000 doses of Chinese vaccine arrive in Montenegro

The donation of the People's Republic of China of 30,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine against the COVID-19 virus arrived in Montenegro today. The valuable donation of the People's Republic of China to Montenegro is another proof of the extremely good cooperation and traditional friendship between the two countries and peoples.

On behalf of the Government of Montenegro, the donation was received by Minister of Health Jelena Borovinić Bojović, Foreign Policy Adviser to the Prime Minister Srećko Crnogorac, Adviser to the Prime Minister and Head of the Public Relations Service of the Government of Montenegro Andrijana Đordan and Director General of the Directorate for Digital Health in the Ministry of Health Aleksandar Sekulić, while the representative of the donor was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Montenegro Liu Jin.

Minister of Health Borovinić Bojović expressed great gratitude to the people of China and satisfaction that China's Sinopharm vaccines arrived in Montenegro today, urging all citizens to get vaccinated.

"I believe that the number of vaccinated people will be as we expect. I use this opportunity once again to appeal to citizens to get vaccinated, but also to adhere to all measures, because the immunization process requires a certain amount of time. Therefore, I urge the citizens once again to respect all epidemiological measures in order to protect their health and the health of all citizens of Montenegro," said Minister Borovinić Bojović.

She once again expressed great gratitude and joy for the arrival of Chinese vaccines in our country.

"This is another proof of friendly relations and great solidarity between our two countries, so I want to thank the People's Republic of China, its President, citizens, His Excellency, on behalf of the entire Government, the Prime Minister and in my own capacity," said the Health Minister.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Montenegro, Liu Jin, expressed his satisfaction with the arrival of 30,000 doses of vaccines, which his country donated to Montenegro.

"Montenegro is among the first countries in Europe to receive a donation of vaccines from China, which symbolizes the friendship and best wishes of the Chinese people towards Montenegro. Today's donation shows the traditional friendship between the two countries, that we are good partners and that we understand, respect and help each other, especially since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. We believe that the Chinese vaccine will help Montenegro to win the fight against the pandemic as soon as possible and open a new chapter of our life and work together," said the Chinese Ambassador, emphasising that the Chinese and Montenegrin governments agreed to procure the necessary quantities of Chines vaccines for our country.
