Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović attended the opening ceremony of the Montenegro Pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale.

We are happy for the great attendance at the opening of our pavilion. Montenegro should develop cultural diplomacy and present itself everywhere as a cosmopolitan state, DPM Abazović pointed out.

Montenegro is represented by the exhibition The Art of Holding Hands. The Montenegro Pavilion is located at the Palazzo Malipiero. The Venice Biennale is one of the most prestigious art events in the world.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović, Minister of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism Ratko Mitrović, and Ambassador of Montenegro to Italy Milena Šofranac Ljubojević also attended the opening ceremony.

Montenegro has been taking part in the Biennale for many years. This year's Biennale brings together about 80 countries, including the United States, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, China, Japan, Canada, but also neighbouring countries, such as Serbia, Croatia and Albania.
