Abazović meets former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo

Prime Minister Dritan Abazović met with former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Athens. Abazović and Pompeo discussed the integration process of the Western Balkans with emphasis on the need for regional cooperation. They agreed that Montenegro can play a special role in this process, given its traditionally good relations with its neighbours.

In the context of the crisis caused by the Russian Federation's aggression against Ukraine, it is very important to send positive signals from the Western Balkan countries, they agreed.

Abazović shared his thoughts on American investments and expressed the Government's readiness to encourage the arrival of US companies, especially from the energy sector.

Montenegro is ready, together with its most important allies, to make a special contribution to integration in the region. We are promoting policies for the future and raising the international reputation of Montenegro, said Prime Minister Abazović.
