The European Jewish Association (EJA), headed by Chairman Rabbi Menachem Margolin, and the American Jewish Congress (AJC), headed by Jack Rosen, congratulated Dritan Abazović on taking office as Prime Minister of Montenegro.

Montenegro is an example for every other country in Europe of how the national Jewish community should be supported and promoted. Montenegro stands as a beacon of tolerance and a bulwark against anti-Semitism, which unfortunately still stains the civic and cultural fabric of the continent, the letter of congratulations signed by the Chairman of the European Jewish Association Rabbi Menachem Margolin reads.

Furthermore, Margolin emphasises that Jews across Europe are aware of the enormous work that Montenegro has invested in enabling the development of such a climate, stating that the rich history of tolerance in Montenegro is fertile ground for all citizens, regardless of their beliefs.

For this, as well as for your unwavering commitment to supporting and protecting the Jewish community, we express our cordial and sincere gratitude, Rabbi Margolin concluded.

The American Jewish Congress congratulated Dritan Abazović on his appointment as Prime Minister of Montenegro, stating that they were pleased to meet with Mr. Abazović last year.

We appreciate Abazovic's efforts to strengthen relations between Montenegro and the United States of America and Israel, the letter of congratulations from the American Jewish Congress reads.
