Political stability is necessary for the implementation of the European agenda. Montenegro has an opportunity that should not be missed, it was stated during the official meeting of Prime Minister Dritan Abazović with Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria Alexander Schallenberg.

When it comes to the European integration of our country, Montenegro receives the friendly and unreserved support of the Republic of Austria. We are grateful for that and we sincerely hope that such cooperation will continue until the full integration of Montenegro into the EU and full membership, said Prime Minister Abazović.

The Prime Minister pointed out that Austria is helping Montenegro on its European path on a technical and expert level by pointing out the best practices and helping in specific negotiation chapters.

The two officials expressed their satisfaction with the economic cooperation between the two countries and with the full alignment of Montenegro's foreign policy with EU policy and guidelines, especially when it comes to global problems and the conflict in Ukraine.

In this context, Prime Minister Abazović expressed the expectation that Austria will be an advocate of EU enlargement. This, as PM Abazović said, would make the European perspective of the countries of the Western Balkans alive and vital, adding that European integration has no alternative.
