Prime Minister Dritan Abazović addressed the Berlin Process Leaders' Summit during the first session, "Region Integration into a Single Market and Improved Convergence with the EU."

Speaking about the importance of regional cooperation and the improvement of road infrastructure, Abazović emphasized that only closer collaboration among Western Balkan countries can lead to the progress of the region towards the EU. He welcomed the upcoming signing of the Regional Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Professional Qualifications, as a continuation of previously signed agreements at the last Berlin Summit. This move promises tangible benefits for our citizens, providing employment opportunities and labor market access in other Western Balkan countries.

Abazović stressed that, in the pursuit of strengthened regional connectivity, Montenegro has initiated infrastructure improvement projects towards all neighboring countries. This will enhance mutual mobility, fostering excellent regional and neighborly relations.

Commenting on global security challenges, the Prime Minister reiterated Montenegro's support for Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression. In a geopolitical context, he condemned the attack by Hamas on Israel, while simultaneously calling for the respect of international humanitarian law, the protection of civilians in the Gaza Strip, and the delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need.
