The Berlin Process Summit with the Western Balkans leaders is being held today, hosted by Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Olaf Scholz.

After the opening address of President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the working sessions began, where regional cooperation, common regional market and security of supply and transition were discussed.

Prime Minister Dritan Abazović pointed out that the regional cooperation of the countries of the Western Balkans is a key factor in political stability, security and economic prosperity and that his ideal as a politician is a reconciled region of the Western Balkans without borders, in the European Union.

Borders should not be changed, they should be made invisible, stressed Prime Minister Abazović, underlining that the EU integration process is certainly leading us to that ideal.

Abazović expressed his satisfaction that he has the opportunity to contribute to the continuation and intensification of regional cooperation, which will have benefits for all citizens of the region, through today's signing of very important agreements.

The working sessions were followed by the signing ceremony of three agreements on mutual recognition of identity cards, university degrees and professional qualifications.

On the sidelines of the summit, Abazović spoke with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, as well as with numerous prime ministers of the EU Member States and countries of the region.
