Prime Minister Dritan Abazović is participating in the Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of the Berlin Process, taking place in Tirana today.

Prime Minister Abazović congratulated Albania on its presidency of the Berlin Process and stated that Montenegro is fully aligned with the foreign policy of the European Union.

The future of the Western Balkans lies in close collaboration and the removal of all obstacles on the path to reconciliation and progress, emphasized Abazović.

He stressed that promoting stability in the region is crucial if we aspire to become part of the EU. In this regard, he called on both the regional countries and the EU to contribute to establishing long-term stability through their statements, as a guarantee of our shared European future.

Neighbors across the border should not be regarded as adversaries but as partners and necessary friends for cooperation, Abazović stated, underlining the importance of infrastructure connectivity among regional states for accelerated economic advancement.

Abazović highlighted Montenegro's commitment to the Berlin Process, citing an example of our country being the first and, so far, the only one to donate to the Western Balkans Youth Cultural Fund.

The Western Balkans Youth Cultural Fund is a multi-year project aimed at supporting organizations dealing with cultural and youth-related themes involving six Western Balkan countries, with financial support from the Federal Government of Germany's Regional Office for Youth Cooperation (RYCO).

In advancing regional cooperation and the joint European integration of Western Balkan countries, Montenegro supports initiatives related to the promotion of good neighborly relations, mutual understanding, and cooperation in areas of common interest.
