Representatives from the Judo Federation informed the government members that Montenegro has been entrusted by the European Judo Federation to host the European Senior Judo Championship in 2025, triumphing over competition from Georgia, the Netherlands, and Slovenia.

We are proud of this decision and ready to deploy all available resources to facilitate the organization of this major event. I would like to express our gratitude to the Government of Montenegro, without whose support, such an achievement would not have been possible, said Jovica Rečević, President of the Judo Federation of Montenegro.

Prime Minister Abazović congratulated the leadership of the Judo Federation on this success, emphasizing that this is one of the most significant sporting events that Montenegro will host.

I received this news with great pleasure and look forward to supporting such an event, stated the Prime Minister.
