Montenegro needs a government that is 100% pro-European and will have three main directions of action: unblocking the judiciary, economic stability and electoral reform, said Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović at an official meeting with EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi.

Commissioner Várhelyi said that Brussels needs a stable government that will have the capacity to implement all necessary reforms in the process of European integration.

Deputy Prime Minister Abazović said the new government would be committed to strong reforms in the area of the rule of law, in order to unblock the process as soon as possible and join the EU as a full member.

In addition to the political situation in Montenegro, the two officials exchanged views on the relations between Podgorica and Brussels in the context of the revitalisation of the EU enlargement process.
