‎Abazović, Rama: The future of WB countries is in the EU

Prime Minister ‎‎Dritan Abazović‎‎ met Prime Minister of the Republic ‎‎of Albania Edi Rama‎‎.‎ The two officials noted that the future of the countries of the region is in the European Union, and the Berlin Process is a sure path to that goal.

‎I am pleased that the next, 10th Summit of the Berlin Process, will be held in Tirana. This is an opportunity that we must use to strengthen regional cooperation and our readiness for EU membership, Abazović said.‎

‎In this context, Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania Edi Rama pointed out the importance of an informal meeting with representatives of the European Commission in Tirana on 17 July aimed at preparing the upcoming Berlin Process Summit.‎

‎The meeting agreed that this could also be the date of the meeting of the Joint Committee for the construction of the bridge on the Bojana River.‎

‎The officials exchanged views on the situation in the region, expressing their expectation for the resolution of the issues between Belgrade and Pristina, and reiterated their commitment to contribute to this process, which will be a positive signal for the entire region.‎

‎All capacities should be used, in cooperation with international organisations, to ensure stability and continuation of democratic processes, they agreed.‎

‎Furthermore, the two prime ministers discussed cooperation within NATO as well as other topics of bilateral interest.‎
