‎Prime Minister Dritan Abazović‎‎ spoke at the general debate "United for Europe" during the the fourth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Council of Europe in Reykjavík.

‎Today, Montenegro has the largest number of Ukrainians ‎‎per capita‎' in Europe because they make up about 5% of our total population and everyone feels safe and comfortable, Prime Minister Abazović emphasised during his speech.‎

‎Speaking at the beginning of the Summit, Prime Minister Abazović stated that this is a historic event for Montenegro, since it participates in this format of the Council for the first time since restoring independence in 2006, reminding that Iceland was the first country to recognise Montenegro's independence.‎

‎Montenegro stands with Ukraine from the first day of the Russian Federation's aggression and we will do our best to support our friends until the end of the war, Prime Minister Abazović said. ‎We should immediately start to think about the reconstruction of Ukraine. We should not wait for the end of the war, he added.

‎‎We stand ready to continue to support Ukraine. I call on all European countries to remain united in protecting universal values, promoting good policies, good governance, fighting corruption, promoting media freedom.‎

‎We can only win if we remain united, Abazović concluded.‎
