Branko Krvavac

Branko Krvavac was born in 1992 in Kotor. He graduated from High School in Tivat, as a valedictorian, after which he enrolled at the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica, graduating with an average grade of 9, following which he continued pursuing his Master's degree at the same Faculty and is currently working on a thesis titled: "Analysis and Evaluation of Numerical Fiscal Rules in Montenegro".

As one of the best students at the Accounting and Auditing Department, he began his professional career at the Ministry of Finance of Montenegro in September 2015. After completing his internship, he continued his further professional development in the Ministry of Finance on the positions of Junior Adviser and Senior Adviser in the Directorate for Economic and Development Policy and coordinator in the Department for Fiscal Analysis and Projections in the Directorate for the State Budget, where he performed and was involved in the most responsible tasks in the aforementioned Directorates.

He participated in the work of several working bodies, from which he singles out the participation in the development of the Program of Economic Reforms of Montenegro, the Fiscal Strategy of Montenegro, the Analysis of Changes in the Minimum Salary and the Taxation of Labor, the creation of models for macroeconomic and fiscal projections, as well as the Working Group for the Preparation of Negotiations with the EU for Chapter 17 - Economic and Monetary Union. Since 2016, he has been a member of the Subcommittee on Economic and Financial Affairs and Statistics, as part of annual consultations, in accordance with the EU integration process.

In the period 2018 - 2020, he was a member of the Audit Board of the "Electric Transmission System of Montenegro" JSC, while from March 2021 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the "Institute for Public Health of Montenegro". In addition to the above, in the period 2019-2020, he was hired as a local expert on the "Tax Administration Reform" project in the area of tax modeling, while in the period 2022 - 2023, he was hired as a consultant on the project "Establishment of the EU's Own Resources Management System in Montenegro".

He attended several professional trainings in the following areas: macroeconomic and fiscal policy, fiscal framework, tax policy, fiscal risks, structural reforms, organized by international institutions (International Monetary Fund, World Bank, European Commission) in Austria, Slovenia, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy and other countries.

He was a speaker at the conference in Vienna on "Medium-Term Revenue Strategy", organized by the International Monetary Fund, as a representative of Montenegro.

He is fluent in English and speaks French.
