Celebration of the 15th anniversary of Montenegro's independence held

The Government of Montenegro organised a celebration of the 15th anniversary of independence of Montenegro, with the participation of the Armed Forces of Montenegro.

Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić, Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, President of the Parliament Aleksa Bečić, Minister of Defence Olivera Injac, and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Montenegro Brigadier General Milutin Đurović attended the celebration.

The Honorary Guard of the Armed Forces of Montenegro and the Military Orchestra took part in the programme. The Military Orchestra performed the national anthem of Montenegro during the raising of the state flag, as well as several compositions from the time of the Principality and the Kingdom of Montenegro.

The parachuting with the Montenegrin flag was canceled due to strong wind gusts.

State officials visited the stands of the Armed Forces of Montenegro, where a part of the most modern weapons and equipment available to the Armed Forces of Montenegro was exhibited. Officials got acquainted with some of the combat vehicles, as well as vehicles that serve to support the execution of dedicated tasks of the Armed Forces of Montenegro.

After the ceremonial part of the programme, the highest state officials talked to the citizens gathered on Independence Square.
