CIRT representatives attended the 14th edition of GISEC Global, one of the largest and most important cybersecurity events in the world. The event took place from May 6 to 8, 2025, at the World Trade Centre in Dubai. It was organized by the UAE Cybersecurity Council, the Dubai Electronic Security Center, the Ministry of Interior, and the Dubai Police.

This year’s GISEC, themed “Securing an AI-powered Future,” gathered over 25,000 information security professionals from more than 160 countries, 350 speakers and over 750 global cybersecurity brands. Attendees included representatives from major corporations, government officials, international innovators, and leaders in the field of cybersecurity.

As part of the event, representatives from CIRT participated in a global cyber drill organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in collaboration with the UAE Cybersecurity Council. The exercise featured four simulated scenarios reflecting current cyber threats, promoting cross-border cooperation and enhancing response strategies to increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks. Delegations from over 130 national cybersecurity bodies, as well as teams from the global CERT/CIRT/CSIRT network, took part in the drill.

The event also set 11 Guinness World Records, including the record for the world’s largest cyber drill. This achievement highlights the significance of such initiatives in strengthening global cyber resilience and security.
