CIRT representatives attended the 37th Annual Conference of the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST), which took place in Copenhagen from June 22 to 27, 2025. This prestigious event gathered over 1,000 cybersecurity experts from more than 100 countries. It provided a unique opportunity for participants to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and strengthen international cooperation.

During the conference, our representatives actively participated in several key meetings that were especially important for national teams. We would like to highlight our involvement in the 20th Annual Technical Meeting of National CSIRTs, organized by Carnegie Mellon University's Software Engineering Institute (SEI). This meeting focused on the technical challenges and coordination among national teams, as well as strategies to enhance capabilities and foster mutual trust.

Additionally, CIRT took part in the EU Cyber Balkans meeting titled “Building the bridges between FIRST and Western Balkans cybersecurity communities” organized by the e-Governance Academy from Estonia. This meeting emphasized regional cooperation, support for newly established CIRT teams, and capacity building throughout the Western Balkans.

During the Communications Special Interest Group (SIG) meeting, participants discussed ways to enhance communication with the public and partners during crises. Besides attending these meetings, our representatives took part in various lectures and panel discussions, gaining insights into the latest trends, tools, and real-world cybersecurity incidents from around the world.

Participation in this conference is highly significant as it contributes to strengthening professional skills, enhancing regional and international collaboration, and further solidifying Montenegro's position as an active member of the global cybersecurity community.
