Croatia donates 10,000 vaccines to Montenegro

Minister of Health Jelena Borovinić Bojović, who is paying an official visit to Zagreb, signed an Agreement with her Croatian counterpart Vili Beroš on the donation of 10,000 vaccines to Montenegro. A bilateral agreement was signed between the two countries and a trilateral one with the producer.

"On behalf of Montenegro, I thank you for the gesture of solidarity and friendship between Montenegro and Croatia. As the Government, we will do everything to raise the relations between the two countries to the highest possible level," said Borovinić Bojović.

Minister of Health of Croatia Vili Beroš emphasised that solidarity is the foundation of the fight against the coronavirus.

The ministers exchanged experiences of health systems in the fight against the pandemic. The meeting was the opportunity to elaborate in detail the steps related to the renewal of the agreement on organ transplantation, but also to the re-establishment of educational cooperation.

"You can be sure that the Republic of Croatia will do everything to help Montenegro and transfer the experiences it gained in previous years," Beroš emphasised.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Health of Croatia Silvio Bašić supported the plan of the Ministry of Health of Montenegro to sign a memorandum of cooperation between the two countries.

Bašić said that it is the way to establish further cooperation.

Earlier today, the Montenegrin delegation consisted of Director of the Clinical Centre of Montenegro Ljiljana Radulović, Acting Director of the Clinic for Nephrology Batrić Babović, and urologist Petar Kavarić, visited the University Hospital Centre in Zagreb, which, together with the Clinical Centre of Montenegro, will be the backbone of further cooperation between the two countries.

The Montenegrin delegation also includes Secretary General of the Government of Montenegro Božo Milonjić.
