The Government of Montenegro, in cooperation with the Parliament, wants to intensify political dialogue, reduce polarization in society and reach a broad political consensus to unblock the judicial system, said Prime Minister Dritan Abazović at a meeting with European Parliament's Standing Rapporteur for Montenegro Tonino Picula.

EP's Rapporteur for Montenegro Tonino Picula pointed out that the European Parliament strongly supports Montenegro's European path and that he has high expectations for the implementation of reforms.

Prime Minister Abazović emphasised that the Government is embarking on visible and credible reforms at the domestic level, which will support transformation of our society, but also enable a faster European path.

It is important for Montenegro that the EU recognises every positive step and puts the wind in our sails, said PM Abazović.

Having in mind that two thirds of citizens support Montenegro's accession to the European Union and that there is a broad political consensus in the country on this matter, Montenegro highly values unequivocal support for the European perspective of the Western Balkans.
