Gjeloshaj attends the 22nd Vienna Economic Forum

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Minister of Economic Development Nik Gjeloshaj participated in the 22nd Vienna Economic Forum, which this year brought together countries of the region under the motto “Economy Meets Politics: Strengthening the European Voice”. The Forum gathered high-level representatives of member countries, European and international institutions, as well as business leaders from Europe and beyond.
Deputy Prime Minister Gjeloshaj took part in the third Alpha Session titled: “Strengthening the European Voice from the Adriatic to the Black Sea and Beyond”.
In his address, Gjeloshaj emphasised the importance of reinforcing relations with neighbouring countries and advancing regional cooperation, which fosters dialogue, builds trust, and contributes to overcoming differences.
Shared interests must prevail over differences, and common challenges require common solutions. It is precisely through solidarity that European values are built, he stated.

Gjeloshaj also highlighted Montenegro’s goal to be fully prepared for EU membership by 2028, adding that the country’s success in this process would serve as a positive signal for the entire Western Balkans and an inspiring confirmation of the idea of a united Europe.
He concluded that for Montenegro, European integration is not an end in itself, but a means to build a modern, competitive, and sustainable economy capable of participating on an equal footing in the European market.
