Gjeloshaj meets with Ambassador Imamura: Investments, innovation and EXPO 2025 in focus

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Minister of Economic Development Nik Gjeloshaj met today with the Ambassador of Japan to Montenegro, H.E. Akira Imamura.
The two officials reaffirmed the long-standing and productive bilateral relations between Montenegro and Japan, emphasizing the importance of deepening economic cooperation and fostering innovation.
Gjeloshaj highlighted the significance of Japanese investments and their positive impact on the country’s economic development. Partnership with Japanese companies contributes to a dynamic economic environment in Montenegro, creating opportunities for growth and development, Gjeloshaj stated.
A key topic of discussion was Montenegro’s participation in EXPO 2025 in Osaka, a major event for the country. Gjeloshaj expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality of the Japanese people and noted that the Expo will serve as an excellent opportunity for Montenegro to showcase its culture, tourism, and economic potential on the global stage.
The event also offers a valuable platform for promoting stronger economic ties between the two countries and attracting more Japanese investment to Montenegro. During the meeting, the importance of the fruitful and productive partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) was also highlighted.
