Prime Minister Dritan Abazović met Chair of European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) David McAllister. In the past three weeks, more processes have been launched in our country in the fight against high-level corruption and organised crime than in the past two decades, said PM Abazović.

Prime Minister Abazović emphasised that Montenegro, as a responsible candidate for membership in the EU, consistently follows the foreign and security policy of the EU, aligns with positions and decisions of the EU and contributes to EU peacekeeping missions.

PM Abazović stressed that key priorities of Montenegro's foreign policy are regional cooperation, good neighbourly relations, along with European integration and commitment to NATO.

Chair of European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs David McAllister pointed out that Montenegro is on the best track to become the 28th member state of the EU. He added that Montenegro can be a success story and give hope to the Western Balkan countries that EU enlargement remains alive. We must support the countries that are on the path of reform, McAllister emphasised.
