Milica Perišić

General Secretary

Milica Perišić was born on September 7, 1982 in Podgorica, where she completed both her elementary education and Philological High School.

She is a philologist, professor, and translator for French and holds a master's degree from the UNESCO Department of Cultural Policy and Management, an interdisciplinary master's study program organized in cooperation with the University of Arts in Belgrade and the University of Lyon 2 (Université Lumière Lyon 2).

She completed an international course in public administration (CISAP) at ENA (École Nationale d'Administration) in Paris, on the topic of Urban Governance and Sustainable Development. She attended numerous trainings in the conference and consecutive translation (l'École Supérieure d'Interprètes et de traducteurs (ESIT)), as well as trainings in negotiation skills and working group meetings, organized by the British Council.

She worked as a professor of French and Latin at the "Petar I Petrović Njegoš" High School in Danilovgrad; as an advisor at the Ministry of European Integration, in the department for coordination of the accession process (coordination, analytics, and reporting). She was hired by the Agency for International Legal Cooperation in Paris as an assistant to a resident twinning advisor on a project funded by the European Union "Support to the Implementation of the New Criminal Procedure Code". Before she was appointed Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, she worked as Secretary-General of the Petrović Njegoš Foundation.

She was the President of the Board of Directors of the French European School in Podgorica; engaged as an expert (KE2) for internal communication on the project "Efficient Internal and External Communication of the Public Administration Reform Strategy", as well as an expert on communication (JNKE) and writing a communication strategy on the project "Towards EU Rules on Coordination of Social Security Schemes, Montenegro". She also worked as an intern in the Master's study program at the Directorate of Culture of the city of Cherbourg-Octeville in Normandy, France.

She is fluent in French and English and has a basic knowledge of Italian and Spanish.
