Minister and Chair of the Coordination Body for Harmonisation and Monitoring of Inspection Oversight Milutin Butorović presented to Prime Minister Milojko Spajić the Action Plan for the Preparation and Monitoring of the 2026 Summer Tourist Season.

This document represents a roadmap for the systematic regulation of the tourism market, based on preventive measures, stronger coordination among competent authorities, and the digitalisation of inspection oversight monitoring.

Minister Butorović emphasized that strengthening the institutional capacity of the Coordination Body enables better synchronisation of all inspection services, thereby reducing overlapping controls while increasing the efficiency of field inspections.

The meeting particularly highlighted the need for a more decisive fight against the grey economy, with a focus on combating unregistered accommodation, undeclared labour, as well as unregistered service providers in nautical and adventure tourism.

It was also assessed that inspection oversight needs to be intensified in coastal zone areas and national parks.

During the discussion, it was noted that the implementation of the Action Plan will contribute to increasing budget revenues by bringing unregistered entities into legal business flows and improving the quality of the tourism offer by reducing unfair competition.

As emphasised, the Government will provide all necessary logistical and legal prerequisites to ensure that the Coordination Body achieves maximum results in 2026 in implementing inspection oversight and safeguarding legality in the tourism market.
