Minister of Health pays visit to France: Specialist medical training in Paris agreed

Minister of Health Jelena Borovinić Bojović began her working visit to France with a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Solidarity and Health. On behalf of the Government of Montenegro, the Minister thanked France for its assistance to Montenegro in all spheres, including valuable assistance during the coronavirus pandemic.

The meeting expressed special interest in helping Montenegro in the field of digital transformation. The importance of improving women's health in all medical departments was also emphasised.

The interlocutors exchanged experiences regarding the epidemiological situation and the vaccination process. In this context, EU support through the COVAX mechanism was emphasised.

Furthermore, Minister Borovinić Bojović met with Director for international cooperation of the largest university teaching hospital in Europe AP-HP (Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris) Florence Veber. It was agreed that this group, federating 39 different hospitals and groups of hospitals, will sign a memorandum of cooperation with the Clinical Centre of Montenegro.

The Minister of Health will visit two French medical faculties and will have meetings with eminent doctors on ensuring cooperation.

Minister Borovinić Bojović will also meet with representatives of the Montenegrin diaspora in Paris.
