Von der Leyen praises mass testing for COVID-19, positive respond to Montenegro's request to join EU Digital COVID Certificate expected

President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen praised the mass testing for COVID-19, which makes Montenegro a leader in the region and which is very important in the context of epidemic surveillance.

During the meeting with Minister of Health Jelena Borovinić Bojović, the President of the European Commission expressed belief that the EU will respond positively to Montenegro's request to join the EU Digital COVID Certificate.

Von der Leyen explained that the certificate is now applied in 45 countries and that it is especially important in the field of tourism.
