Open Call for Western Balkans–Visegrad Fellowships

We would like to inform you that the Call for applications for the Western Balkans – Visegrad Fellowships jointly funded by the International Visegrad Fund and the Western Balkans Fund, is currently open.

The call is open from 13 April to 17 May 2026, and the results will be announced on 15 July 2026.

The program enables two-way academic mobility: candidates from the Western Balkans countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Serbia) may undertake study visits in the V4 countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia), while candidates from the V4 countries may stay in the Western Balkans countries.

The scholarships are intended for PhD students and holders of doctoral degrees (lecturers, academic staff, researchers, and scientists) for short-term stays at universities, research institutions, archives, libraries, and other institutions, lasting from 2 to 10 weeks.

The financial support amounts to EUR 500 per week, with the possibility of an additional travel grant of up to EUR 500.
