The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development and the European Patent Organization (EPO), has opened the new PATLIB Center IP4Innovation, which will operate within the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) at the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro and serve as a central hub for supporting researchers, entrepreneurs, start-ups and innovators.
The Center provides support, training, advisory services and access to relevant information on intellectual property, enabling more efficient protection and commercialization of innovative solutions.
The ceremonial opening of the PATLIB Center was attended by President of the EPO António Campinos, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development Nik Gjeloshaj, and Director of the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro Valentina Radulović, further confirming the importance of the Center and providing strong institutional and strategic support for its future work, the strengthening of Montenegro’s innovation ecosystem and its integration with the European patent system. This support also symbolizes international recognition and confidence in the potential of Montenegrin innovators and the start-up community.
As part of the European PATLIB network of more than 300 centers, IP4Innovation connects the Montenegrin innovation community with international best practices, modern IP tools and expertise. The opening of the Center represents an important step in enhancing national competitiveness, advancing technology transfer and creating a supportive environment for innovation development in the country.
