PM Abazović lays the foundation stone for the Kotor-Lovćen cable car

Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, representative of the Leitner Consortium Martin Leitner, President of the Municipality of Kotor Vladimir Jokić, and Mayor of Old Royal Capital Cetinje Nikola Đurašković laid the foundation stone for the Kotor - Lovćen cable car.

Martin Leitner said that he is privileged to be in Montenegro today, describing the project of connecting the beautiful mountains and the sea as historic.

Prime Minister Abazović emphasised that the dream of many children of Kotor and Cetinje is coming true today.

I hope that in a year, gondolas full of tourists will go towards Lovćen and that our citizens will have the opportunity to see the most beautiful sunset in the world and a view of one of the most wonderful bays, said PM Abazović.

President of the Municipality of Kotor Vladimir Jokić stated that this project will be very important for Kotor, the Old Royal Capital Cetinje and the whole of Montenegro and that the cable car will attract a large number of tourists.

Mayor of the Old Royal Capital Cetinje Nikola Đurašković said that this project will contribute to the tourism of the two cities and to local businesspeople.

Minister of Economic Development and Tourism Goran Đurović, Minister of the Interior Filip Adžić, and Minister without Portfolio Adrijan Vuksanović also attended the foundation stone laying ceremony.

The cable car will be 3,918 meters long, with a capacity of 1,000 passengers per hour and 40 gondolas, while the travel time will be 11 minutes.
