Representatives of all Europol departments were present at the meeting. Executive Director De Bolle spoke about Europol's cooperation with EU member states and partner countries in the fight against organised crime and terrorism.

Abazović stressed that the fight against organised crime and corruption is one of the priorities of the new Government, and that to that end, Montenegro continues to strengthen cooperation with international institutions.

PM Abazović said that organised crime in the Western Balkans region is a direct security threat to both the EU and European countries and that only with joint cooperation can we achieve tangible results.

Prime Minister Abazović pointed out that the meeting was very productive and that Montenegro can count on strong international support.

We have laid a solid foundation for increased cooperation in the coming period. It is extremely important that Europol recognises us as a credible and reliable partner, so we expect to achieve higher level of cooperation, said PM Abazović.

Following the meeting, Prime Minister Abazović told media that the greatest burden will fall on the State Prosecutor's Office, the Chief Special Prosecutor and the Police Directorate, but that he is convinced that the environment is significantly different which can lead to tangible results in the fight against organised crime.
