Prime Minister Dritan Abazović sent a letter of congratulations to Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Boris Johnson on the occasion of Her Majesty's Birthday.

Dear Prime Minister,

It is my pleasure to extend to you my most heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of Her Majesty's Birthday, on behalf of the Government of Montenegro and on my own behalf. This year's National Holiday is a special celebration, as you also celebrate the Platinum Jubilee - the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty's accession to the throne.

Montenegro pays great attention to further strengthening interstate relations with the United Kingdom, based on our shared commitment to democratic values and NATO alliance. I hereby express our particular gratitude for the concrete and unreserved support that your country has been providing for Montenegro, which encourages us to continue implementing the remaining and challenging reforms, especially in the areas of rule of law, fight against organized crime and corruption. We are pleased with the increasing frequency of visits of your envoys to Montenegro, which make a strong contribution to the continuous reinforcing of our political dialogue.

I avail myself of this opportunity to emphasize the importance of the United Kingdom's commitment to the Western Balkans, which is extremely significant for our regional security and stability at a time when we are witnessing an active conflict in Europe.

I am hopeful that in the near future we shall have the opportunity to exchange views on all relevant issues of mutual interest through a direct conversation.

Please accept the assurances of my highest consideration.

Dritan Abazović PhD
