PM Krivokapić on the occasion of World Health Day: COVID-19 pandemic cruelly reminds of the value of health

Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić said on the occasion of World Health Day that preserving the health of citizens is one of the main priorities of the Government, the Ministry of Health and the entire health care system, which in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic show high responsibility towards their citizens.

"The COVID-19 pandemic cruelly reminded the whole world of the value of health and the place that - in the nature of things - science, medicine and solidarity deserve to have in the system. We hope that our country and all of humanity will emerge from this situation more resilient and richer for one new experience and one wise and ever-lasting lesson to our descendants.

World Health Day is an opportunity to thank the World Health Organization for all its efforts on a global scale, so that the right to health as one of the basic human rights is available to eveyone.

This year's WHO global theme "Building a fairer, healthier world" indicates that inequality is present and that no environment has been spared. Therefore, in all the plans and activities we undertake, we always emphasise the commitment of the Government to create a society of equal opportunities," said Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić.
