PM Krivokapić meets with UK Special Envoy Stuart Peach

Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić met last night with the UK Special Envoy to the Western Balkans, Sir Stuart Peach. Minister of Defense Olivera Injac and Director of the National Security Agency Dejan Vukšić also attended the meeting.

Prime Minister Krivokapić emphasised the importance of friendship and alliance between the United Kingdom and Montenegro, and presented the Government's policies implemented in order to strengthen economic stability and democratic processes.

Mr. Peach praised the Government's cooperation with the United Kingdom in all areas, with particular emphasis on defence and security cooperation. He also stressed the importance of dealing with security risks affecting the Western Balkans, Europe and the rest of the world, emphasising the impacts facing the Western Balkans.

The meeting emphasised the importance of Montenegro's membership in NATO, especially in the context of contributing to international peace and strengthening security sector institutions.

Mr. Peach emphasised that the United Kingdom will support democratic processes and will be committed to enhancing cooperation with the Government of Montenegro, in all sectors.
